David Sibeck

David Sibeck is a scientist in the United States studying the complex set of plasma physics phenomena that link the Sun to the Earth and drive space weather. The magnetopause, or outer boundary of the Earth’s magnetic field, lies at the center of his research interests, while working with and mentoring early career scientists has been his greatest reward. Born in Oklahoma, he grew up and received his education in California before moving to Maryland 40 years ago. His hobbies including cooking Asian food, gardening, walking, and vacations to distant lands. He is the author or co-author of over 450 refereed scientific publications.
Norma Reis

Norma Reis is a loved child of Jesus and a Brazilian independent researcher. She is majored in Pedagogy by the Federal University of Paraná State (UFPR), in Brazil. She is a former Portuguese and English teacher in South Brazil, teaching in public and private institutions. She has a M.Sc. degree in Space Management by the International Space University – ISU. She first visited NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Summer 2008 as an International Space University – ISU intern. On that occasion, she carried out two parallel projects: “Eclipses through the Centuries,” writing a comprehensive article on several stories of eclipses through the several historical ages. She also researched “NASA Education,” investigating NASA projects and programs for college and pre-college educational levels developed by NASA, as NASA has the most robust space education enterprise in the world. Since 2008, Norma also gives presentations in schools and universities about her NASA experience. She is author and editor of the book “The Space Education Phenomenon at NASA, Brazil and Beyond,” (https://www.amazon.com/Education-Phenomenon-Science-Exploration-Policies/dp/1626181888) with invited chapters from authors from NASA, Brazil and India. She is a retired Brazilian civil servant. Norma developed schizophrenia in 2013 and thanks to a combination of several Jesus’ and Heaven’s miracles, she re-visited NASA in 2023 (15 years after her first visit in 2008) as a Visiting Scholar, carrying out research on auroras and eclipses, to be applied in Brazilian schools and other institutions. Norma’s greatest pride is to have taken care alone, as only child, of her elderly father, when he was 79, until he passed away at the age of 81, from covid. Norma’s hobbies and main interests are praying, reading, listening to music, and walking. Norma gives free lectures and testimonies about what Jesus and Heaven did in her life (and about Eclipses in History and auroras, and her NASA experiences) for churches, clinics, hospitals, science centers, schools, universities and other institutions, and interviews.
